All ISDEHS 2006 attendees are responsible for finding their own accommodation.

However, NDRD has arranged two accommodation options for you. A limited number of hotel rooms has been reserved for ISDEHS 2006 conference attendees at the following two hotels. The quoted rates are available for the nights of December 3 through Friday December 8. Additional nights can be reserved at prevailing rates, subject to availability.
In addition both hotels can help with obtaining an entry visa! (if required!)
We will provide a shuttle service to pick you up from these locations (they are very close to each other) and bring you to our conference venue.*

Please note that Dubai is a busy cosmopolitan city, which caters to many International events all year around. Participants are therefore strongly recommended to book their accommodation as early as possible. de Ausrufe
Hotels in Dubai are usually fully booked in the winter month so please take this advice seriously! I had to stay in neighboring Emirates several times myself, because I could simply not find a single "affordable" room in Dubai!
PS: After staying in both hotels several times, I can honestly recommend both choices!

Our High End Business Option:

Hilton Dubai Creek

Single Occupancy 1000++ AED (subject to 20% taxes and room only)
Double Occupancy 1050++ AED (subject to 20% taxes and room only)

Located with a breathtaking view directly on Dubai Creek, this stylish boutique hotel is highly recommended by NDRD for those lucky ones that do not have to think about their expenses. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, the bathrooms are immaculate (glass, chrome, black marble), the service is excellent not to say outstanding and the pool on the rooftop is refreshing! Eat in the Glasshouse restaurant, the food is great, the service is great and the prices are very reasonable.

Special Tip!  flightupdate_animated_tcm96-29332
If it will be your first time flying into Dubai, make sure that you get a window seat on the right hand side (in flying direction and not over the wing) of the aircraft! The view at night (your most likely ETA) is absolutely spectacular – don't miss it!

Taxis
The taxi service in Dubai is easily available, air-conditioned, popular and an inexpensive way to get around. However it will be healthy, if you can slow them down a bit! Each cab is meter-run – do not except alternative stories :- (. When you arrive at Dubai airport, just follow the sign "taxis" past the meeting area. Airport taxis are meter cabs with a pick-up charge of AED 20 (US$ 5.50) and the final fare will be calculated according to the recorded distance traveled. Approximately 8 $ will take you to both hotels! Dubai taxis do not accept credit cards.

Low Budget
There are more economical  options in Dubai.
Try to search for a stay in a cheapie in Deira! There is also a Youth Hostel in Dubai - for further info check out the Lonely Planet Website

No restrictions are imposed on visitors but modest dress is recommended in public places. Beachwear is acceptable at beach clubs and hotel pools only!

Please observe the rules and regulations as well as respect the culture of our host country at all times! de Ausrufe
